Designers, Models, Lights, Make-up, Action!

SMU Arts Festival 2009 is proud to present its inaugural fashion showcase where fashion designers from tertiary institutions will present their unique creations under the concept of ‘Wearable Art’.

Under the guidance of Lionel Roudaut, Programme Leader of Fashion Design, LASALLE College of the Arts, these talented young fashion designers will innovate materials to manipulate, alter, distort and react with the environment to give their garments a new façade to life.
All garments in this showcase will be exhibited along the SMU Concourse for the duration of the festival, as audiences witness their change against the ravages of time.

Artistic Director:French fashion designer Lionel Roudaut has had 13 years’ experience as designer, working six years in Shanghai, Tokyo and now Singapore. Lionel's personal interest in fashion aesthetics has brought him to work with iconic designers such as John Galliano, Jeremy Scott, Marithee & François Girbaud and Taverniti, which have contributed most to his design style and identity.

Seconds to 2009

Ushering to TWENTY-Oh-NINE.

Good morning January 1st!

At time we need to sit down for a couple of minutes reflecting on yourself.

Just being alone to think.

I realised. I had not done much for this year.

However, i did learnt quite alot.

I'd understand. I'd seen.

I would say that Oh-Eight has been a year that i've grown to accept certain things the way they are.

The meaning. The answers. The reasons.

I've grown closer to a few friends

and will distanced myself to some.

I'm sorry. I'm not important.

Priority.

You changed.

Some in NS.

Some are attached.

Some had forgotten.

Whatever is it,

I promise i will still smile.

All the aspects of life, i've seen thru.

Hardship. Friendship. Relationship.

I will leave it thru my memories.

Academically, i will work extra hard.

I want something in life. This life.

I shall not care about anyone anymore.

I'm not appreciated.

Emotionally, its like a rollercoater ride.

Playing over & over again and soon i'll stop.

Though struggles with myself are still relatively common

My heart.

Questions are still left unanswered.

Time?

It will never pause for us.

Once it left, you can never get it back.

It drives me us!

Time management is crucial.

I wish to travel like others who are fortunate to be around the globe.

Thus, i couldn't.

This have to wait i guess.

Come to think about it,

another year has just passed by like that.

Like everyone would says,

everything seems fast but going thru the journey takes time.

To be remembered or forgotten it thru,

the past had made me.

The PAST had made me.

2008.. i am still dreaming.

Nonetheless, it had been an experience.

Alone.

Am still alone.

Will still be alone.

Don't touch me.

My Oh-Nine Resolution?

I will do my best for my collections.

I will make my mum proud.

I will learn to love.

I will learn to accept.

I will learn to be quiet.

I will go NS with no regret.

I will be put a smile.

We had dinner at Popeye's, Flyers

Followed by Ice cream at Gelare, Suntec.. Half-price DAY!

OMG! Jeff said 6 days to school reopening!

Which means.. 16 DAYS TO RUNWAY SHOW!!!! fuck!
